In Fond Memory of Ralph 'RalF' Clayson

Ralph Clayson
1922 - 2001

Ralph was a great man. His kindess and his sense of humor were not just outward displays, but were the very essence of his being. He was the kind of guy that everyone emulated. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, and was a ray of light and hope to everyone he touched.

Ralph Clayson will be terribly missed.

Good bye, Ralph. We love you.

- PAR
"Ralf was a great friend, great competitor, and always quick with his wit and a joke. He has been one of the true greats here on Phil's site, and my heart is heavy to learn that he is gone. It is folks like him that make the world a bit brighter and bit better and a bit more joyful. So long friend... We miss you!"

- Sheila Moss
"I never met "RalF" in person... but, I sure enjoyed his captions here, on the Funnypages. I know that he brought many a smile to my face and I am sure that he did the same to many others. We came; We saw; We Smiled."

- Phil Rogers
"Ralf was a great competitor, with a wonderful sense of humor. Everyone has thier own style on here. Ralf had a unique style and a lightning quick wit. I enjoyed his captions and found myself placing behind him more often than not. When I did win, he was always there to congratulate me. I know he's still out there bringing laughter and joy. I know he would say, "I'm not gone, I just found a better site!" Until we meet again, we miss you buddy!"

- ROCK
"In a world where there seems to be much too little laughter, Ralf did his part to brighten many of our days. He will be forever etched in our memories."

- Bruce R.
"I also enjoyed Ralf's sense of humor very much. I will sincerely miss his very clever and funny captions. May God bless his family and other loved ones."

- Mike Gray

"So sorry to hear about Ralph. Humor is one gift he obviously had and fortunately shared with all of us. I didn't know him, but it was clear is was a good sport given the good-hearted ribbing he graciously took part in. Anytime we lose someone who can find the good--find the positve laugh--we all suffer a loss. My family's regards to Ralph's in this time of sadness."

- Danny Peterson
"There is quite a sadness upon learning of Ralf's passing. He brought many a smile to all of us here, and will be sorely missed by all. When it came to camaraderie amongst fellow captioners...well, Ralf was a REAL team player.

"You are gone, but certainly not forgotten my friend. And, I know you are looking down on us and smiling.

"God Bless Ralf, and the entire Clayson family."

- Peggy S. Simoni

"This is the first time I've been by for nearly 3 weeks and was saddened to learn of Ralph's passing! Graci sends her prayers to Ralph's family. I hope they know how much laughter and happiness he brought to others lives!"

- Graci
If Ralph is where I think he is, then he will be having fun writing captions there and spreading joy for all of us to share. Maybe when we say congrats to our winner friends, we might think just a little of saying thanks to Ralph for that little feeling that you get when you know something's funny.
